| Plant care | There is no limit to the number of basil seedlings per pod. Just let it thrive! If the stems are about to touch the lamp, cut them back. Trimming basil will prevent it from flowering and developing a bitter taste. Basil likes to be cut, and doing so will increase its yield! You can start trimming approximately 1 month after planting. You can also harvest single leaves occasionally. Basil is great for drying and can last up to a year in a sealed jar. Basil is an annual plant and it doesn't last forever. If it has been over ten weeks and the plant looks aged, it's time to replace the pod. |
