Withings BodyScan 2 combines body weight measurement with analysis of body composition, metabolism, cardiovascular system and nerve response. The measurement range is from 5 to 200 kg, with a weight measurement increment of 50 g.
Segmental body composition analysis across 6 zones
Bioimpedance spectroscopy using 13 frequencies and 12 electrodes separately analyses both arms, both legs, the torso and the abdominal area. The scale monitors, among other things, fat, muscle, lean mass, water, bone mass, BMI and visceral fat. The manufacturer’s internal tests showed at least 99% correlation of fat mass measurements with DEXA, although correlation does not mean 99% accuracy.
Tracking changes in muscle mass
The division into six zones makes it possible to check in which areas the amount of fat and muscle is changing. The manufacturer also indicates this function as useful during weight loss and GLP‑1 treatment.
ECG and cardiovascular monitoring
BodyScan 2 performs a 6-lead ECG with detection of signs of AFib. It also monitors standing heart rate, pulse wave velocity, vascular age and blood oxygen saturation SpO2.
Heart Age and hypertension notifications
Heart Age uses impedance cardiography ICG as well as Cardio Responsiveness and Cardio Efficiency indicators to assess the mechanical performance of the heart relative to the user’s age. Hypertension Notifications analyses patterns from consecutive measurements and may notify you of signs associated with hypertension, but it does not measure blood pressure and does not replace a blood pressure monitor.
Metabolism and nerve response
The scale analyses basal metabolic rate, metabolic age, visceral fat, hydration and fluid balance. Nerve Response Score assesses the nerve response of the hands and feet, while BodyPath and Body Profile features make it easier to track changes in the app. The announced Glucose Resilience indicator does not measure glucose levels and will require a Withings+ subscription.
Daily Scan and Longevity Scan
Daily Scan takes approximately 30 seconds and includes the most important daily measurements. The extended Longevity Scan takes approximately 2 minutes and enables a full analysis of body composition, ECG, SpO2 and nerve response.
Handle with display and controls
The retractable handle includes a colour LCD display with a resolution of 640 × 172 px, electrodes and two thumb-operated buttons. Haptic guidance and Position Control™ technology help ensure correct measurements, while the tempered glass platform is reinforced with an aluminium frame.
Automatic results synchronisation
BodyScan 2 recognises up to 8 users and automatically sends results via Wi‑Fi, so the phone does not need to be next to the scale during measurement. The device stores up to 16 results without a network connection, and the app works with Apple Health, Google Health Connect and Google Fit.
Rechargeable battery for up to one year of use
The 2500 mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to one year of use on a single charge. A full charge via USB‑C can take up to 5 hours.

BodyScan 2 and the displayed metrics do not replace a medical examination or diagnosis. Hypertension Notifications is intended for people aged 22 and over, without a previous diagnosis of hypertension, who are not pregnant and do not have an implanted electronic device; the feature does not detect heart attacks. Availability of health features depends on the country, approvals, software version and Withings+ subscription.
