NEOGEO AES+ is not an ordinary “plug-and-play” console based on emulators or FPGA approximation. It is a faithful hardware implementation etched directly into silicon. The use of modern, proprietary ASIC chips enables native game playback, guaranteeing the most authentic gaming experience, identical to that offered by the original Japanese hardware.
Compatibility without limits
The console was designed with collectors and retro enthusiasts in mind. The system natively supports both classic NEOGEO AES cartridges from the 1990s and newly released titles. This gives your game collection a second life on modern displays while preserving its unique character.
Classic looks, modern functionality
Although the console’s casing is a 1:1 replica of the iconic original, its interior conceals a range of Quality of Life improvements. NEOGEO AES+ offers low-latency HDMI output for modern TVs, while retaining the traditional AV output for fans of CRT monitors. In addition, physical DIP switches allow for instant changes to the language, display modes, and even overclocking the device’s operating parameters.
Arcade Stick included as standard
The console comes with a full-size wired Arcade Stick. It is a precise replica of the original controller, using a classic 15-pin connector to deliver uncompromising responsiveness and durability known from arcade halls.
