Plant care | There is no limit to the number of seedlings per pod for Thai basil. Just let it thrive! Thai basil likes to be cut, and doing so will increase its yield! You can start trimming approximately 1 month after planting. You can also harvest single leaves occasionally. Trimming your basil will prevent it from flowering and developing a bitter taste. Basil is an annual plant and doesn't last forever. If it has been over twelve weeks and the plant looks aged, it's time to replace the pod. Thai basil is a great herb for drying and can last up to a year in a sealed jar. |
