| Plant care | Chives are a bit heat sensitive and grow better if the max temperature is 79 °F (26 °C). At higher temperatures germination and growth may be inhibited. There is no limit to the number of chive seedlings per pod. Just let them thrive! Chives may appear to be fragile and growing slowly at the start, but growth will start to speed up. You can start harvesting single leaves gradually about a month after planting by cutting off the whole leaf from the base. Alternatively, you can harvest all your chives at once whenever you like. They are usually fully grown in 8 weeks and should then be harvested all in one go. |
