Plant care | There is no limit to the number of arugula seedlings per pod. Just let them thrive! It may appear to be growing slowly at the beginning, but once it germinates it will speed up. Arugula is a heat sensitive plant and grows better when the temperature is between 64 to 72 °F (18 to 22°C). High temperatures inhibit germination and promote bolting. You can start harvesting single leaves 3 to 4 weeks after planting. Alternatively, you can harvest all your arugula 5 to 6 weeks after planting - at this point it tastes best and has the highest nutritional value. Arugula flowers are edible, but after flowering, your plant will no longer grow new leaves. |
