SMARTWATCHES AND WEARABLE DEVICES
List of safety warnings for SMARTWATCHES AND WEARABLE DEVICES based on the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR):
1. User manual: Before first use, carefully read the manual provided by the manufacturer. Use the device solely as intended (monitoring time, activity, multimedia functions, and games).
2. Limitations: The product is not a medical device. Heart rate, step, or calorie measurements are for orientation purposes only and cannot be used for medical diagnosis or treatment.
3. Power supply: For charging, use only the original cable and certified chargers compliant with the parameters in the manual. Do not use damaged cables.
4. Charging conditions: Do not charge the device on soft, flammable surfaces (blankets, pillows) or in places with limited ventilation. During a thunderstorm, it is recommended to disconnect the charger from the electrical grid.
5. Wet hands: Never touch charging ports or plugs with wet hands.
6. Photosensitive epilepsy: Devices displaying dynamic images and games may trigger epileptic seizures in sensitive individuals. In case of dizziness, visual disturbances, or muscle spasms, immediately discontinue use and consult a doctor.
7. Vision protection and breaks: When playing games or using applications, take regular breaks (every 20–30 minutes) to avoid eye fatigue and pain in wrists and hands. It is recommended to use the device in a well-lit environment.
8. Medical interference: The watch emits an electromagnetic field and contains magnets. Persons with pacemakers or other medical implants should maintain a minimum distance of 15 cm from the device.
9. Allergic reactions: Strap materials are tested, but skin irritation may occur in sensitive individuals. Regularly clean the strap and wrist from sweat and dirt. In case of skin redness, stop wearing the device.
10. Overheating: If the device becomes excessively hot during operation or charging, remove it from your wrist immediately.
11. Distraction: Playing games or reading notifications while driving, cycling, or moving near roads is extremely dangerous. Always prioritize road traffic safety.
12. Environment: When using interactive features, make sure you have enough space around you to avoid hitting objects or other people.
13. Small parts: The device, straps, and cables may contain small parts posing a choking hazard. Store out of reach of children aged 0–3 years. Older children may use the device only under adult supervision.
14. Cleaning: Clean only with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth after disconnecting from charging. Do not use compressed air, strong detergents, or solvents.
15. Repairs: Do not open the housing or repair the device yourself. Any tampering risks loss of seal, fire, or electric shock.
16. Ingress protection rating: Follow the IP rating specified by the manufacturer. Avoid contact with hot water, saunas, and strong water jets, unless the manufacturer explicitly allows such conditions.
17. Dust and smoke: Do not use the device in heavily dusty or smoky areas, which can permanently damage components.
18. WEEE Disposal: The product must not be disposed of in regular household waste bins. As electronic equipment with a lithium-ion battery, it is subject to selective collection at designated recycling points (WEEE).
Following the above rules reduces the risk of injury, equipment breakdown, and property damage. Ignoring them may lead to serious health and technical problems.Detailed information and additional warnings can be found in the user manual included with the product or in PDF format on the manufacturer/supplier website.
