SMART BULBS

List of safety warnings for SMART BULBS based on the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR):

1. Intended use: Smart bulbs should be used solely as light sources indoors (unless the product's IP rating explicitly allows outdoor use). The product is intended for installation in standard light fixtures compatible with the base type (e.g., E27, E14, GU10).
2. Electrical safety and installation: Installation, removal, or replacement of the bulb should be carried out only with the power supply completely disconnected (circuit breaker turned off or plug removed from the socket). Before replacing, ensure that the socket and fixture are not live.
3. Compatibility with dimmers: Most smart bulbs have a built-in electronic module and cannot be used with traditional mechanical wall dimmers. Using such devices may lead to permanent damage to the bulb, fire, or electric shock. Dimming is performed exclusively via a dedicated application or voice assistants.
4. Heat management and ventilation: LED bulbs generate heat during operation. Do not cover bulbs with insulating materials or fabrics, or use them in completely enclosed small-volume light fixtures that prevent free air circulation, unless the manufacturer permits such use. Overheating shortens product lifespan and poses a fire hazard.
5. Moisture protection: Protect the product (unless rated IP44 or higher) from direct contact with water, steam, and high humidity. Do not touch the bulb or fixture with wet hands.
6. Mechanical damage: In case of a cracked bulb, casing, or loose base, immediately disconnect power and discontinue using the bulb. Exposed electronic components pose a direct risk of electric shock.
7. Health safety (Photosensitive epilepsy): Smart bulbs offer dynamic color change effects and stroboscopic modes (e.g., Rhythm mode). Persons prone to photosensitive epilepsy should exercise special caution and avoid using modes with rapid changes in light intensity and color.
8. Children and bystanders: The product is not a toy. Store and use bulbs and packaging elements out of reach of children. In case of a shattered glass bulb, there is a risk of injury.
9. Maintenance and cleaning: Clean the bulb only with a dry, soft cloth after disconnecting power and allowing the light source to cool down. It is prohibited to use detergents, water sprays, or strong chemicals.
10. Risk of burns: Immediately after turning off, the bulb may be hot. Wait at least 10–15 minutes before attempting to touch or replace it.
11. Network usage: Ensure regular firmware updates in the manufacturer's application. These updates often contain safety fixes regarding the operation of radio modules (WiFi/Bluetooth/Thread).
12. Disposal: The product must not be disposed of in regular household waste bins. As electronic equipment (WEEE), it is subject to selective collection at designated recycling points.

Following the above rules reduces the risk of injury, equipment breakdown, and property damage. Ignoring them may lead to serious health and technical problems.Detailed information and additional warnings can be found in the user manual included with the product or in PDF format on the manufacturer/supplier website.
